Relationships 001
What even are those things
I hate most social constructs and this is definitely one of them.
Hi my name is Miyahcore and as of writing this statement I am single and planning on staying that way.
I don't think I'm very relationship coded in a traditional sense.
I don't understand why it's important for everyone to know I like someone. If I know I like them, and they know I like them... why does their mom have to know I like them? Why does their mom have to wiggle her eyebrows at me over dinner please god just tell her I'm your friend.
Why do my coworkers need to know I'm not single? Why do people feel the need to tell EVERYONE they're in a relationship? Don't get me wrong I wouldn't be hiding my partners but I'd only bring it up if it was relevant information to the conversation at hand. Not just randomly saying "it's our anniversary" like isn't that a personal thing? And my GOD stop saying we're trying for a baby. I DON'T JUST WALK INTO PLACES AND ANNOUNCE I HAVE SEX WHY CAN STRAIGHT PEOPLE DO IT??
I don't understand romance, I can't think sexual thoughts about people without consent, I don't get social cues, I'm poly, and I have a hyperfixation on interpersonal communication and perception. I have a LOT of opinions on relationships.
